Christmas is only a couple of days away and 2021 is right around the corner!
Wow! What a year we have all had! So much has changed and we are all waiting in anticipation for things to get back to "normal".
New Years' resolutions use to be a big deal. But at this point, I think we are all just hoping to survive. (If you plan on trying to keep to tradition and set a New Years' resolution, leave me a comment and share what you will be doing for 2021.)
This next year I actually have a few big things I'll be working on.
Starting in May I will be working on earning my PSAP (Pastoral Sexual Addiction Professional) certificate. I'm so excited about this! Not only will I be gaining more information that I can use to help people that are struggling, but I will also possibly be able to use it to take my career to the next level.
The BE YOU BE LOVE podcast will be starting its second year! Our first episode was technically in April, but I still can't believe that we have been able to interview such amazing people and keep this podcast going! Thank you to everyone who has signed up to support the podcast!
I spent time setting up a Patreon. If you haven't taken the time to check it out I would appreciate it from the bottom of my heart!! Here's the link. https://www.patreon.com/SarahPeters?fan_landing=true
This is still so much more happening in 2021 but we'll stop here at #3.
My position as the D3 Area Director for Toastmasters International will be coming to an end in July 2021. I'd be lying if I didn't say I was a little excited. It's been such a big job and with everything that came with 2020, I have been feeling quite overloaded.
With that said, this brings me 1 step closer to earning my DTM (Distinguished Toastmaster), which is pretty darn awesome!
My hope for this next year is that I'm able to be hired as a speaker for the interesting and different events that will happen in 2021. Some might be in-person but there's also that thought that we will still be doing so many events online. (Either way works for me so don't hesitate to reach out if you're looking for someone)
2020 brought us A LOT of challenges but one of the best things that I really loved seeing was how even though we were all "forced" to isolate, people still managed to connect. Whether it was through HouseParty, Zoom, Hangout...etc. People got online and started groups, they worked out together, and even have had holiday parties online. It's amazing how much growth has happened throughout this year!
Not to mention, I have seen, by far, the best memes come out of 2020!!
Let's take a moment of silents for these great gifs!
I hope you all have a wonderful Holiday season and 2021 brings you more joy than stress!!
