When do you want to pray?
When things are going good?
When you feel good?
Or maybe it's mostly when things are going bad and you are reaching out as a last resort?
Do you find yourself only praying when you're alone?
Or only when you're with others that are praying?
When should you pray?
Even when we don’t want to or don't feel like it... ESPECIALLY when you don't want to or don't feel like it!
Pray when you wake up and before you go to bed.
Pray when you are eating (before, after, or even during)
Pray with others and when you're alone.
Pray when you're happy and when you're hating life.
Pray when there's nothing going on and when life feels chaotic.
When we pray
It is just like sitting with a friend. Being thankful for all that God has and continues to do for us but it is also sharing what is on our hearts.
Building a good relationship with anyone includes having deep, authentic communication with each other. God shares His heart with us through His written Word, The Bible. When we read how Jesus lived His life we learn who God is.
"Don't you believe that I am in the Father and the Father is in me? The words I speak are not my own, but my Father who lives in me does His work through me." -John 14:10 NLT
God already knows your heart but still wants to hear from you.
As you and a friend both share your life on Facebook you both learn different things about each other. Does this mean that you will stop talking?
Would you be good friends and have an intimate connection with each other if you stopped talking?
There is a difference between having knowledge about a person and having a conversation with a person.
When we have a real conversation with someone we connect on a deeper more intimate level.
This is what God is wanting.
He wants us to not only have knowledge but He wants us to actually have a connection with Him. To love Him and to feel the UNFAILING love He has for us.

Our prayers are specifically going out to families all over the world being affected by the Coronavirus, COVID-19. I hope that we are all able to share God's love and joy with those that we interact with during this difficult season.
